(Enriched Air Diving / EANx)

Overview

nitrox analyser

The Nitrox / EANx course is designed to teach divers how to safely use enriched air, which is a blend of nitrogen and oxygen with a higher percentage of oxygen than what's found in regular air. The course covers topics like the benefits and risks of diving with Nitrox, how to analyze and label tanks, and how to plan and execute Nitrox dives. Diving with Nitrox can extend bottom times and reduce the risk of decompression sickness, making it a popular option for recreational divers looking to stay underwater longer.

Here's what the Nitrox (enriched Air / EANx) course entails

eLearning / OnlineTheory

The term “Nitrox” refers to any gas mixture composed (excluding trace gases) of nitrogen and oxygen; this actually includes normal air which is approximately 78% nitrogen and 21% oxygen, plus about 1% inert gases. The reduced percentage of nitrogen is advantageous in reducing nitrogen absorption in the body’s tissues thus extending the possible dive time, and reducing surface interval time, and maybe even reducing the risk of decompression sickness. Many divers report feeling less tired when using Nitrox

The course is designed to qualify certified divers to use enriched air (commonly called Nitrox) for no-stop recreational diving

Pre-requisites: (Jr) Open Water Diver Certificate

Other Info

Through an online training program, becoming a Nitrox Diver has never been more convenient. You can complete most of the required academic study from the comfort of your home or office, without having to spend long hours in a classroom working with complex dive tables and formulas.

While not mandatory for certification, we recommend that you do two Nitrox dives with an instructor after completing your online Nitrox certification. This will allow you to practice and apply your newly acquired knowledge in a safe and controlled environment under the guidance of a trained professional.
